This December 19 at 7 PM, the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild continues its annual tradition of bringing together musicians and writers to charm and delight our region’s citizens with wintery songs and stories. This year’s Sound and Stories “Joy To The Word” event will feature storytellers John Murphy, S.Z. Putnam, Connie Russell, and The Larson Siblings (Ellie, Grey and Dana), alongside holiday tunes courtesy of The Ukulele Klub. Bundle up, settle in, and get into the seasonal spirit among some of our region’s best musicians and storytellers! Hosted by B.J. Hollars. Hansen Gallery, Both Sides Now features the captivating work of artists Jamie Bowers and Kay Brathol-Hostvet! 🎨 Open now through July 27, this exhibit explores the shifting beauty of clouds and atmospheric conditions through two distinct lenses: Jamie’s abstract symbolism and Kay’s emotive realism. Together, their 2D and 3D works invite viewers to experience the sky from both a conceptual and emotional perspective. ☁ Join us for the Artists Reception and Talk this Friday, June 13, from 5–7 PM to hear directly from the creators behind this thought-provoking exhibition.
