Focusing on fragility, space, and subtle strength, that which often goes unnoticed, I work with repetitive forms and markings to elicit thoughts of memories, spiritual spaces, and rituals. My conceptually-driven art practice incorporates ceramics, facial tissues, mixed media, drawing, painting, and time-based installations.
Inspired by blips of time and eeting experiences, those of dappling sunlight, uttering birds, and passages of time, I aim to create subtly transformative moments into something felt, rather than seen.
Delicate linear edges provide a point of tension in otherwise dependable forms, referencing common shapes found in nature, while simultaneously remaining unmoored from any one object, lingering in the space of possibilities between recognition and mystery.
My work seeks to gather: gather mementos, gather memories, gather ideas, gather people, gather futures. It invites the viewer to participate, both actively and passively, shaping the experience in a way that reects the intangible, spiritual value embedded in our everyday lives. These small, eeting moments—these quiet, precious things—are at the core of what I wish to honor.
