2025 Confluence of Art Annual submissions are open! This juried exhibition celebrates the vitality of the arts scene by featuring over 50 works from regional and national artists. Get ready for some truly unique and delicious food at Caribbean Nights! Chef Akenya Aman, owner of Sankofa Super Food Truck, will be serving up authentic African cuisine with a Caribbean twist. Chef Aman brought his passion for cooking to the Chippewa Valley in June 2024. He was born and raised on the West Coast of Africa, where he learned the art of cooking and hospitality from his mother, who owned her own restaurant. After moving to the U.S. to further his education, he made his way to UWEC in 1989 and has called the Chippewa Valley home ever since. After gaining experience in various businesses, he decided to return to his family's legacy of sharing great food and hospitality. He started cooking for local bars and grills, and his delicious food quickly gained a following. He then combined his business experience with his love for cooking and took his food and authentic African merchandise on the road in the Sankofa Super Food Truck.
