Join Courtney and friends to celebrate the release of her new album, With You. Sarah Siskind will open, and Courtney will be joined by album collaborators Sean Carey, Ben Lester and Zoe Guigueno.
Courtney Hartman, a Wisconsin-based, Colorado-born guitarist, singer, writer and producer, has spent 15 years deftly knitting together music communities across the bluegrass, folk and indie scenes. She turned early acclaim (including a 2014 GRAMMY nomination for her work with folk quintet Della Mae) into true partnerships, writing and recording with an ever-growing family of fellow artists. Popmatters calls Courtney “a real-life folk troubadour and scholar, informed by her travels and the relationships that she’s built through them,” and Acoustic Guitar Magazine says she is “a songwriter that delights and disturbs.” Her first two albums, Ready Reckoner and Glade, featured collaborations with Gregory Alan Isakov, Anaïs Mitchell, Bill Frisell and Sam Amidon. Over the past decade, Courtney has spent time in 28 different countries, seeking to bridge cultural divides through music diplomacy and creative cooperation. Her upcoming release, With You, is a richly collaborative album centered around the themes of care and motherhood. It will be released independently on November 14 and includes performances by Watchhouse, The Nunnery, Phil Cook and more.

Sarah Siskind unapologetically shows up to sing her truth. Steeped in Appalachian Roots but always pushing genre lines, her authenticity as an artist and songwriter has never waivered.
The North Carolina native has had covers by Robert Plant, Wynonna, Alison Krauss, Randy Travis, and many others and has shared the stage with heroes Bonnie Raitt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Paul Brady, Swell Season, and Bon Iver. Over 20 of her songs were featured on the hit TV series Nashville including the unofficial theme song “A Life That’s Good”.
Her new album's title track serves as a thematic centerpiece and reflects on the search for ongoing balance between career, motherhood, and personal life. Siskind muses, "How do we simplify our life? How do we simplify our love? How do we simplify, make it right with a lot less running."
After five years of profound personal and creative growth, Siskind openly shares her journey with an emotional, unfiltered collection that highlights the purity and beauty of an acoustic guitar paired with an honest voice. NPR Music named the Simplify “one of the top 5 albums of it's release date.”
