Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival will be hosting a free talkback with the cast of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Friday, July 7th directly following the 7:30 PM performance in the Jamf Theatre. All audience members are invited and welcome to stay for this casual Q&A opportunity.

Chippewa Valley Theatre Industry Night

Saturday, July 8, 9:30 p.m.
Gibson Street Entry, Pablo Center

Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival strives to celebrate all theatre in Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley, so we invite YOU to join us for an “industry night” reception following the July 8 performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” We welcome you to stop by the Gibson Street Entry at Pablo Center and mingle with each other and the cast/team of WSF’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” enjoying some free food/snacks and a cash bar. Folks with any connection to theatremaking (acting, directing, design/tech, orchestra pit for musicals, etc.) at any level (high school, college, community theatre, professional) are welcome to attend! You do NOT need to attend the July 8 performance of Midsummers in order to attend this event.

Arts & Ideas: Paul Hecht

Presented in partnership with LE Phillips Memorial Public Library
Join us after the show as Paul Hecht provides a scholar's look at “A Midsummer Night's Dream” with deeper insights on the rich history and themes the text has to offer. This event is free and open to the public; those who are not attending the July 9 “Midsummers” performance are welcome to still come and learn! Preregistration required.

Arts & Ideas: JT Stocks

Presented in partnership with LE Phillips Memorial Public Library. JT Stocks (UWEC Theatre alum & WSF mainstage actor) will be diving in depth into the fascinating history of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, from its modest beginnings to its now iconic influence. This event is free and open to the public, though preregistration is required.

Arts & Ideas: Acting Workshops

Saturday, July 15, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
PCC 327 rehearsal room, Pablo Center

We invite you to join some of our professional mainstage actors for some theatre workshops designed for you! First, Lauren Rosemurgy (playing Helena in "Midsummers") will run a session on improv from 1:00-2:30, followed by Whitney Nelson (playing Titania in "Midsummers") leading a workshop on auditioning tips & tricks starting at 2:30. Both will be fully interactive sessions, with plenty of opportunities to get on your feet and practice your craft. These workshops are presented completely free of charge for folks of all ages, and attendees may elect to stay for both sessions back-to-back or just attend one or the other. Preregistration requested.
