Rainbow Fish Project

AGE RANGE:  PROJECT SHOULD BE EASILY ACCOMPLISHED BY AGES 4 AND UP WITH HELP FROM PARENT OR GUARDIAN

Sharing is caring. Let’s create one of the most beautiful creatures in the ocean together and share your projects with each other. Inspired by the book The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. 

Materials Needed
- Cardstock paper (thinner version) 
- Markers 
- Stapler 
- Scissors 
- Colored tape (optional) 
- Googly eyes (optional)
Project Instructions


Project Steps

  • Tape along the long side of the white paper, this will be the fishes head
  • Draw and color scales on the white paper
  • Roll the paper and staple closed
  • Draw and cut out a tail and two fins on colored paper
  • Fold the corners on the tail side of the white paper
    • Invert the folds and staple in the tail
  • Staple the two fins to the body
  • Roll the fins for extra effects
  • Attach google eyes to the fish
    • No google eyes? No worries, draw them on instead
