C V Book Festival Presents: Wild and Rare: with Adam Regn Arvidson

This event is a lunch event which will include a box lunch from French Press. Lunch will be a variety of wraps from French Press (including vegetarian and gluten-free options), chips, and a cookie. There will be coffee or apple cider provided.
Adam Regn Arvidson is a landscape architect and writer living in Minneapolis. His written work has been featured in magazines ranging from Landscape Architecture and Metropolis to Michigan Quarterly Review and Utne Reader. He is currently the director of strategic planning at the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. His most recent book, Wild and Rare: Tracking Endangered Species in the Upper Midwest, is a look at the landscape of the upper midwest through the lens of endangered plants and animals.
Adam Regn Arvidson takes a look, not only at the midwest plants and animals on the the endangered species list, but which ones we value, why we value them, and what we take into consideration moving forward. During this interactive discussion and reading about endangered plants and animals in the upper Midwest, you will learn which species are endangered, the history of their conservation and protection in this country, and what you can do to help these fellow inhabitants of our beautiful planet. 
Our book sale committee will have copies of Wild and Rare for sale at the event.
This event will take place at the Chippewa Valley Museum.
A Chippewa Valley Book Festival Presentation. 
Tickets for Lunch are $15.
Lunch will begin promptly at 12 noon, doors will open at 11:30 AM.
Arvidson's presentation beginning at 12:30 is a free event, but space is limited.
