Conversations in Color : Asian Americans, Hate Crimes, and COVID-19.

April 5, 2021

This week, we will spend time processing the recent rise in hate crimes against Asian Americans. This is an issue which hits home here in western Wisconsin. Dr. Selika Ducksworth Lawton (UW-Eau Claire, Uniting Bridges, ACLU) and host Ed Hudgins (Converge Radio 101.9) will be joined by Dang Yang (UW-Eau Claire) and Mai Xiong (Eau Claire City Council) to explore, discuss, and feel through these issues together.

ABOUT CONVERSATIONS IN COLOR

Throughout our communities and nation important conversations are occurring, specifically conversations about race and racial justice. Conversations in Color is determined to lean in on these conversations with humility, honesty, and humanity. We bring together community members (experts, leaders, folks with a variety of lived experience) every Monday night to do just that. Conversations in Color is presented by Converge Radio 101.9, The Pablo Center at the Confluence, and Uniting Bridges of Eau Claire.
