The Art of the Holidays
December 1st, 2018 | 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Winter is a time for people from all backgrounds to celebrate light, family, and the coming of a New Year. On December 1st join Pablo Center at the Confluence in saluting the exciting variety of winter holidays celebrated here in the Chippewa Valley!
From 11a-4p the Riverfront Room will play home to a day of family-friendly exploration and celebration. Enjoy festive storytelling, music, crafts, and surprises inspired by Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, Hmong New Year, Diwali, Solstice Festivals, Eid, Soyal, and more!
Outside on the plaza, Pablo Center will host our first Annual Holiday Art Market from 10a-6p, with twinkling, tantalizing gifts from local vendors and artisans.
Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. (DECI) will have free visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the lobby from 1pm-3:45pm. Outside in the Haymarket Plaza from 1pm-4pm you can enjoy free horse drawn wagon rides down Graham Avenue, hot cocoa, live music, and cozy fire pits to help warm your holiday spirit.
All this magic and music culminates with songs by the Memorial High School Madrigals Choir shortly after 4pm and at 4:30pm the lighting of Eau Claire’s beloved Christmas tree, rising for the first time at its new riverside home.
The holidays are for sharing, and Pablo Center can’t wait to share them with you!
