FIRST Lego League Team

Join the Pablo Center FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team to engage in research, problem-solving, coding, engineering, and building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. Previous LEGO robotics experience is not necessary, but a desire to learn is required!  

Participating on this team typically requires travel to a regional competition in late November or early December, with more details announced in mid-September. Additional meeting times and/or work outside of the club meetings are anticipated. Please contact Mary LaVenture, STEAM Programs Manager, at outreach@pablocenter.org with any questions.  

As part of the registration process this year, we are asking students/families to complete some research to familiarize themselves with the:  

• values we expect 
• presentations they will need to develop
• robot challenges they may face

You will receive an email with a link to last year’s Superpowered Challenge and a few questions we would like students/families to answer during an interview.

Recommended Grade Level: 6 - 8

Registration Process:  

You will be put on a waitlist when you register. A team mentor will send an email with details about the materials to review and how to schedule an interview time. Please be aware that an adult must be on the phone/video interview with the student.
