River Prairie Movie Nights Bring Free Film Series to Altoona

Pablo Center at the Confluence in partnership with the City of Altoona Parks and Recreations are pleased to announce the River Prairie Movie Nights series. Beginning on Friday, July 8 with a double feature movie presentation of Disney’s Encanto and The Goonies, the summer film series seeks to bring free, family-friendly entertainment to the Chippewa Valley community.
The River Prairie Movie Nights series takes place on select Fridays throughout the summer at the Prevea Amphitheater in the River Prairie Park in Altoona, Wis. Movies will begin at sunset, approximately 9 p.m. Admission is free. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks for this all-ages event.
The schedule of films is as follows:
• July 8: Double Feature Evening - Encanto and The Goonies
• July 22: Soul
• August 5: Raya and the Last Dragon
• August 19: Double Feature Evening - Clifford the Big Red Dog and Jungle Cruise
The August 19 date will feature a Movies & Mutts Night sponsored by All Pets Wash. Attendees are encouraged to bring along their pet dogs for the evening. All pets must remain leashed while in the park. The River Prairie Movie Nights are presented by the City of Altoona, River Prairie Park, All Pets Wash, Pablo Center at the Confluence, and Visit Eau Claire.
